The Diploma In Plumbing Foundation
If you have no plumbing experience, you might want to first complete a Diploma in Plumbing Foundation. This will provide you with an entry level qualification and ensure that you know the basics skills required to be a plumber. There are 2 levels to the diploma and they will have 19 units in total. At the end of the course, you will know everything from safe working practices to the fundamental principles of plumbing.
NVQ Level 1
When you complete an NVQ or National Vocational Qualification, all of the training will be done on the job. This level of your qualification will cover basic industry knowledge and routines. This is important because it will help you get a junior position or apprenticeship within London. You will also learn the practical skills required to complete the next level of the NVQ.
The first level of the NVQ can take between 4 months to a year to complete. It is important to note that there are no time limits and you will be able to work at your own pace. Once you are confident, you will be able to move onto the NVQ 2.
NVQ Level 2

NVQ Level 3
The last educational level is the NVQ level 3 and it could take 3 years to achieve this qualification. There are 6 qualifications that you can choose when you reach this level.
